Elliot Spence is a fascinating novel by a fascinating person who just happened to be my sixth-grade history teacher. This book tells you a wonderfully well-written story about a fortunate sixth grader who happened to get drafted to the CIA because he "distorted" a picture of the CIA's head chairman. While in the CIA, he works to distort a drone microchip that Sergei Balmonvic, a Russian millionaire, bought from a double agent within the CIA. This story teaches you about friendship, trust, and luck. Overall, one of the best stories I have read in a while.
While reading this novel, I learned a lot of lessons. One of those lessons is that "You can achieve any goal you wish to achieve. The question is: will you try?" This lesson might be used almost everywhere nowadays, but the way this book presented it was unique. Instead of upright telling you, Elliot Spence showed you. Not very many books do that nowadays. Life isn't what other's decide it is; it's what you decide to make it. Elliot Spence has taught me that about life. In this message, I mean that you shouldn't allow other's to tell you what to do with your life or how to live it. You need to figure that out for yourself. Thinking for yourself is one of the most basic, but also most essential aspects of life. Humans were made to be able to make decisions. Those decisions are what make up our life. My experience with this novel was phenomenal. I really enjoyed reading Elliot Spence. I would suggest this book for everyone. This book is more than a book. It's a lesson for all who read: "Enjoy your time here on earth. Become who you want to become. Be who you want to be" That lesson is what all books should say. Inspiring. Truly inspiring. I would say that if another person were to read this book that they would agree with me and find that the true message is the one you make it be, but for simplicities sake, I'll say that the message is to show the world who you can truly be. And, don't strive to be someone else; be yourself. Be the only person you know how to be. Elliot Spence is a fascinating novel by a fascinating author. This book teaches the young and the old about the aspects of life. This book teaches you to be the best you can. Elliot Spence has a long way to go, but I would say it is off to a very good start. |
